Shore Regional is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and a big part of the celebration will come in the form of the Shore Player Reunion Musical Review.
Shore Players is Shore Regional's theater group, which usually performs two plays each school year.
Shore Player alumni will be returning to the stage on Saturday March 24 at 7 p.m. at Shore Regional to entertain the community.
The production will feature over 25 performers from the past 50 years who will perform solos, duets, and ensemble and dance numbers from many Shore Regional past productions such as Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Hello Dolly, Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast, Pippin, Crazy For You, West Side Story and Evita.
Included in the cast is Broadway actor Brian O’Brien who is currently appearing on Broadway in Chicago and has been in Beauty and the Beast, Promises and Annie Get Your Gun in New York.
Joining O’Brien is singer Jill Giacchi who played Elphaba in Universal Studio’s production of the hit musical WICKED and recording artist Cat Cosentino, along with many other accomplished alumni.
“Putting together a show like this is difficult coordinating everyone’s time schedules, rehearsals and personalities, but it has come together quite well,” Assistant Director Jay Giberson said. “Anyone seeing this show will leave with the feeling of being thoroughly entertained."
The night’s activities will also include hors d'oeuvres, refreshments and desserts during intermission. A gathering at Zachary’s will immediately follow the show for alumni, family, friends, and audience members who wish to continue with the celebration.
Tickets can be reserved by contacting Shore Players at email@example.com or calling 732-222-9300 ext. 2550. Ticket prices are $30.
