Tinton Falls residents remembered fallen veterans on Monday morning during the borough's Memorial Day Ceremony at the Village Green/Town Square.

Members of the borough's police and fire departments as well as local boy scout troops placed wreaths, flowers and flags to remember all who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Mayor Michael Skudera and Naval Weapons Station Earle Lt. Commander John J. Dunne spoke of the true meaning of Memorial Day and how important it is to not forget the country's servicemen and women.

The Monmouth Regional High School Band played several patriotic songs and Tinton Falls Police Sgt. McEntegert played bagpipes while Tinton Falls Boy Scout Troop No. 124 changed the colors.

Reverend David deFrost of the Reformed Church of Tinton Falls delivered the invocation and Chaplin Brendan Tobin gave the morning's benediction.
