Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

We're Now Long Branch-Eatontown Patch

With continued coverage of Tinton Falls and West Long Branch

It's a merger! We've combined Long Branch Patch with Eatontown-Tinton Falls Patch to create an even more robust online experience for readers and advertisers across the entire community.

Long Branch-Eatontown Patch reflects our tracking of local news, business and user feedback from the four bordering townships in our coverage area: Long Branch and West Long Branch, Eatontown and Tinton Falls. It also reflects our continuing commitment to make Patch the best place online for the local information and community conversation that matters most to you.

As always, you can make your voice part of the conversation by posting comments, events, announcements, photos and videos. Contact your local editor: Christopher Sheldon for more information about those opportunities or to send a news tip or make a suggestion.

If you lead a business or other community resource, make sure our Patch Places directory includes the listing and then claim it.

Do you have some special expertise, interest or point of view? Blog on Long Branch-Eatontown Patch and share it with the community.

We're constantly looking for ways to do more, do better and do right by the communities we cover. Keep telling us what you'd like to see here. We may not be able to do it all at once, but we'll keep at it. And we'll keep listening.

Jill no news about Fort Monmouth employees specifically, but I am working on a story about a big high tech employer that may locate on the property. It has the potential to fill part of the void.

It took me forever to find Tinton Falls. Would never think to look under Long Branch!

What was the reasoning behind grouping these four towns together? It's unfortunate that Tinton Falls is taken down a notch, even though it has a far larger population than Eatontown. Eatontown-TF-Ocean would seem to make more sense geographically. Looking forward to seeing how the coverage is from here on out.

Once again, Tinton Falls gets by passed! This has been happening to us for years. We are lumped in w/ other towns. We can't have our our post office and now this.
We are no where NEAR Long Branch and larger than Eatontown. How about a PAtch for Just Tinton Falls??
I hope this changes back. If not, count me out. I'll read somewhere else.

Multi-town Patches are not unusual, Viktoria, but more importantly, we're definitely going to continue our coverage of Tinton Falls here. Moreover, we'd love to see Tinton Falls folks expanding the town's visibility on the site by posting comments and photos, sending story ideas and even blogging. We are user-driven, so there's a big opportunity for residents and business people to raise the profile of Tinton Falls through active participation on the site. Keep commenting because we're listening.

As a Tinton Falls resident myself I can understand why we are being lumped in with other towns. The answer is on a map. The town of tinton falls is long, tall and narrow and borders on many other towns. Whereas most other towns are roughly square or circular, Tinton Falls is a tall stretched rectangle.
