Long Branch: Beautiful Beaches, Pier Village

Beach badge prices, lifeguard hours for Long Branch.

Long Branch offers several beautiful beaches with a boardwalk and promenade which span its length. Visitors also can check out Pier Village, a shopping complex which has several restaurants and stores.

  • The beach season extends from May 28-Aug. 25, and lifeguards are on duty from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Seasonal beach badge prices:  Children 13 and younger: free admission (ID required), children 14-17: $30 (ID Required), adults ages 18-61: $45, Senior Citizens (ages 62+): free admission (ID required).
  • Daily beach badge prices: Children 13 and younger: free admission (ID required), children 14-17: $3, adults ages 18-61: $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends, senior citizens (ages 62+): free admission (ID required).
  • According to the Long Branch website  “Physically or mentally disabled means a person who produces evidence that they are receiving Social Security benefits for a physical or mental disability. U.S. Armed Service Veterans of War, who reside in the City of Long Branch, receive free admission. Veterans should contact the Long Branch Veterans Administration officer to receive their beach pass."
  • Seasonal beach badges are sold at the Long Branch Recreation Office, 3 Bay Ave., Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on weekends starting Memorial Day weekend.
  • Badges will be sold at the Long Branch Beach Office at Melrose Avenue on the Boardwalk, beginning June 18. Seasonal beach badges will be available on a daily basis at the Melrose Avenue Beach office from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. only.
  • Surf chairs are available at the Morris Avenue Beach and Chelsea Beach and restrooms are located at the Morris Avenue Beach only.
  • Accessible paring is available at Morris Avenue Beach and curb cuts are located at the Morris Avenue Beach, Chelsea Beach and Madison Avenue Beach.
  • Ramps from the boardwalk to the beach are located at the south side of Pier Village at Morris Avenue Beach.
