Made in Monmouth Sale Attracts Small Manufacturers

Is that your neighbor on the vendor list? Tell us whose product you already love.

Patch is a big fan of home-grown products. One of our favorites is Jersey Girl Honey produced by beekeeper Jill Pegosh of Oceanport. According to the county, the event is being held to draw attention to businesses that manufacture products right here at home and to give people the opportunity to shop local.

Made in Monmouth is organized by the Grow Monmouth team within the county’s Department of Economic Development. According to the department's Web site, Grow Monmouth officials have met with hundreds of business, civic and government leaders in recent months to provide state-of-the-art information services. The goal of the public-private project is to create and preserve jobs in Monmouth County.

There's still room for your business: All interested producers and manufacturers are encouraged to register online at Visit Monmouth or contact the department at 732-431-7470 and ask for John Ciufo or Amy Fitzgerald for more information.

The list of participating vendors will be published on the county Web site. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
