FMERA Approves Lease of Fort Monmouth Motor Pool to County

County will use the area as a new DPW yard

The Fort Monmouth Environmental Revitalization Authority (FMERA) approved a lease of the Fort Monmouth motor pool property in Eatontown to the county on Wednesday night.

The county plans to use the area as a future Department of Public Works yard.

Eatontown residents attended the meeting and spoke out to voice their anger over the process, with several bringing up environmental concerns.

Eatontown Mayor Gerry Tarantolo abstained, but all other FMERA board members voted in favor of the lease.
