Christie, Clinton Early Frontrunners for 2016 NH Primary

But with the primary still three years away, most New Hampshire voters are understandably still undecided.

 

OUTSIDE MANCHESTER, NH -- Hillary Clinton is the heavy favorite among New Hampshire Democrats for the 2016 New Hampshire Primary, while no one in the Republican field has yet to separate from the pack.

Yes, it's still three years before the 2016 Primary, but a WMUR/University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll released Thursday night shows that Clinton is the prohibitive favorite among Granite State Democrats. The poll surveyed 581 New Hampshire residents.

A whopping 63 percent of Democratic voters said they plan to vote for Clinton, compared to 10 percent for Vice President Joe Biden, 5 percent for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and 2 percent for Newark, N.J. Mayor Cory Booker.

Biden made numerous stops in New Hampshire last year, campaigning for President Barack Obama. Booker also campaigned for Obama in New Hampshire.

On the Republican side, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie received the most support, with 14 percent of likely Republican Primary voters saying they would vote for him. Twelve percent said they'd vote for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 11 percent said they'd vote for Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, 10 percent picked New Hampshire's own Sen. Kelly Ayotte, 8 percent picked Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, and 8 percent picked former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman.

Others receiving votes included former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (3 percent), former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum (3 percent), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (3 percent) and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (2 percent).

Both Huntsman and Santorum ran in the 2012 New Hampshire Primary, and many others – including Christie, Walker and Rubio – spent time in the state campaigning for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. Ryan also made several visits to the Granite State in his role as Romney's running mate.

Worth noting is that 82 percent of Democrats and 88 percent of Republicans surveyed said they have yet to make up their minds about who they will support in 2016.

Ms. Clinton is a committed liar - if that wasn't clear from her years in Little Rock, it was made clear from her co-presidency with her convicted philandering husband. More recently, her shamless lies about the attack in Benghazi, which resulted in the murder of several Americans, was despicable. I pray there are enough intelligent and fair minded Americans left to prevent Ms. Clinton to ascend to the throne being built by Mr. Obama. We forcibly broke from tyranny to form the United States, let's hope it does not come to that again.

Ms. Clinton has too many health issues and could not withstand the stress of the presidency. The media will cover up all of her questionable activities. Besides, with Obama in office, we may not be allowed to vote in 2016. He'll have his thugs trying to intimidate people at the polls ala Philly. He already is allowing voting from the internet and beyond the grave.

I believe it was the Republican party that was trying to keep people from voting. And while I think Christie is doing a good job with the whole Sandy mess and have no problem with his, shall we say "outspokenness" when it comes to that situation, I shudder to think of the things that might come out of his mouth when dealling with foreign affairs.

GJC -As far as Ms. Clinton being a liar - you are right - there's no one better. Instead of name calling, which is never effective argument, please deal with the facts. The "lost billing" records, her miraculous strock market profit, and her lies about the terrorist attack in Behghazi and covering up the murder of an American diplomat there- those are all facts (and just some examples). I take it that's what you stand for instead of the truth.

Mr. Clinton's extra-marital affair is not Mrs. Clinton's fault. And when GWB owns up to his nuclear Iran and Iraq scenarios as well as killing 4,000 American soldiers than you can start beating up on Mrs. CXlinton for the 4 deaths in Benghazi. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the illegal wire-tapping and torture (against the Geneva Convention rules) while you're at it. Until then, I suggest that you go bury your head in the sand somewhere.

Proven gjc? Sounds like an excuse - this isn't a court of law, the standard for any elected official (and I would think that would be true of the "Finest Secretary of State") is much higher. "I landed under sniper fire" - remember that? Proven false. Ms. Clinton was fired from the House Judiciary Committee staff for unethical behavior. Travelgate? E-mails and official communiques establish she was "untruthful" in her testimony to Congress about Benghazi. Ok, you are desperate for Hillary to be annointed as the next president. Please, when you're alone and it's quiet, conduct honest, in depth research on your hero and consider that research with some intellectual rigor. I trust after that, you'll understand that we must do better than Ms. Clinton for president.

Your right about the most corrupt state but for the highest taxed you have to look to the past Democrats governors ,Corzine raised taxes and fees 156 times ,Christie has NOT raised any taxes in his first four years ,and despite the Democrats in the legislature fighting him every step of the way he has put a cap on property taxes which have kept the increases to the lowest level in 20 years . Our Democrats in the legislator still refuse to bring up Christies tool kit which could save taxpayers thousands ,they refuse to confirm any of his superior court judges ,but they will bring him bills that will drive out more business ,jobs and taxpayers .

To all of the Hillary fans: I love how you take the old best defense is a good offense line by attacking those who disagree. Now for some reality (burns your flesh, doesn't it?), Ms. Clinton got a pass on Benghazi either due to a health crisis or by lying. So she is either a liar or too ill. She has not proved to be by any means a leader. She humiliated herself by staying with a cheating husband to further her own political career and then passively accepting a position from a man whose people derided her when she ran for President. I still say if she had dumped her cheating man when he embarassed her the way he did, she already would have been President for two terms because America would have respected her. She only appears to be a desperate hanger-onner. Sad, she could have been more.

Thanks Chief! Finally at least some basis for intelligent debate! Although the attribution is way lacking - it's a start. (C'mon, an attack on Mr. Christie's size is just juvenile). The reference to one or the other former President Bush is also confusing - there is no mention of either or even a political party in previous emails (nor is there any unfounded Clintonista like praise (see gjc)). My guess is you think President Bush (the latter) is responsible for the recent asteroid that slammed into Russia. Hey, are you a real Native American?
